Unlimited Policy

What do you mean by unlimited TB?

We would like to be very clear regarding this topic, thus we impose and spent some of our resources to provide this page for you.

First things first, why is it that Shrich DiGiCOMP Digital Services offers hosting packages that are quite low in prices compared to other Philippine-based hosting companies in terms of disk storage and transfer bandwidth? The truth of the matter is because our subscription to foreign (that means third party and we do not really have our own data centers here in the Philippines, considering the dominance and somewhat "bandwidth" dictatorship situation we have here in our country with those large communication utility companies....remember VOIP? do some Googling) hosting companies is low, thus, it is only fair to offer it also in low price after considering overhead operating expenses. Second, on our subscription, we are entitled to hos unlimited number of domains and unlimited TB of transfer bandwidth and disk storage, so we share it to you also.

Understanding the above statements will give you clear indication that "unlimited" has really limitations. It is clear that for each hosting package, we give upto 1024Gigabytes of bandwidth and storage. That's the real meaning of "Unlimited TB", meaning, you have upto 1 Terrabyte only for us to continually offer low-priced hosting to others. As a matter of fact, the 1024Gb is really an "unlimited space" for blogging, for ad sites, and even for interactive or community sites starters.

We are not limiting the chances that your website will never get popular. Actually, the second essense of "unlimited TB" is that you don't have to worry if your site gets too popular. If your site consumes that 1Tb we offer for legal website contents and transfer, it only entails that you're not site starter anymore but a popular or big hit website! If you get popular, we are happy, because it's time for you to upgrade considering that at such popularity, your per-squre-inch ad may cost even a year of hosting plan.

For the meantime, you do not have to worry of disk storage and bandwidth transfer as long as you keep your website average filesize easy to load. When the time you're near reaching that limit, that's the time you worry for it, but don't do much, because at that time you're already popular!

But, you DO still have to worry about plenty of other factors though... Since your site and our other clients' site are hosted in a shared environment, you should optimize your webpages and its elements such as scripts and codes. If your site isn't well optimized and it pounds the CPU, hogs the RAM, or does tons of disk Input and Outpu, you may be asked to sign up for your own Private Server. Trust us, every host out there has exactly the same limitations.. we're just trying to be up front about them!

What about unlimited MySQL databases?

You're certainly allowed an unlimited number of MySQL databases, but for purposes of server stability and to allow other shared sites to have faster transfer bandwidth, please try to keep your databases optimized and no larger than a few Gigabytes in size.

What are the things not allowed in "Unlimited"?

That's a good quesiton. Basically, your sites' essential purpose is to use disk or bandwidth in accordance to the hosting package you signed up from us. Thus, keep the purpose and scope of your site according to your hosting package.

It is also a good practice that when you design or develop you website, you should be thinking about how you can make an interesting site for your visitors while minimizing your server storage, bandwidth, file system, memory, and cpu impact as much as possible. The result will be a better experience for your visitors, your web host, and yourself!

Here are some specific examples of things not allowed:

1. Displaying or making available of any copyrighted content you are not the copyright holder of.
2. File upload / sharing / archive / backup / mirroring / distribution sites.
3. A site created primarily to drive traffic to another site.
4. Making your account resources available (whether for free or pay) to the general public.
5. Creating PornoSites, pirate sites, malware sites spamsites and the likes
6. A site that would nearly mimic existing sites which will cause ambiguity to visitors
7. Such other site that we will prohibit in the future.
